After recording an album that took a year and a half for 4 songs, the singer and drummer left the band. Ben and Dayne, who would let no obstacle stop them, took what time they had and created Kill the Artist. This is their first song. Don't Leave Me Here shows that these guys have something to say and will not stop at nothing to be heard. This song was written and performed by Dayne and Ben and guest Justin McHugh on drums.

Ben who is now a single father to a young daughter, who is often asked "when are you going to grow up?" in regards to being in a band, had this response. "Wouldn't the best thing I could teach my daughter to be to reach for your dreams? Even if they seem crazy to other people, but it's something you really enjoy and makes you happy. wouldn't that be a good lesson?" That's the heart to what Don't Leave Me Here was created lyrically.
